  1. “Disarming” may be too strong a word. In the article you link to, it says: “This does not require an absolute ban on firearms. In the post-repeal world that we envision, some people will possess guns: hunters and sportsmen, law enforcement officers, the military, those who require firearms for morally reasonable purposes.” And that’s from someone who wants to repeal the Second Amendment. There are sensible measures, like the universal background checks defeated in the Senate, that thoughtful people believe are consistent with the Second Amendment.
