Fall yard sale a washout

Bridgewater’s September 26 yard sale was mostly a washout, as day-long rains confined most yard-salers to displays in garages and under tents. This year’s rain ended a long lucky streak of more favorable weather.

Also, not listed on the calendar: Except for holiday weeks, the regular collection schedule is trash on Tuesdays and Fridays, vegetation on Wednesdays and recyclables on Thursdays.
